From 6 April 2023, van benefit charges and car and van fuel benefit charges will increase in line with the Consumer Prices Index. Regulations will be laid in December to legislate for the change.
Employees who have more than insignificant private use of an employer-provided van - and their employers.
The increase will apply from 6 April 2023.
Although increases in costs are generally unwelcome, an inflationary adjustment is not unreasonable in the current economic climate, especially as many pool vans and other vans with insignificant private use are outside the scope of the charging provisions.
