Measure
The government will legislate to make minor amendments to restrictions on the use of rebated (red) diesel and rebated biofuels.
The amendments are aimed at permitting the use of rebated fuel in tractors, gear used by charities for launching lifeboats and machines used for arboriculture as well as extending entitlement to use rebated fuel in machines used primarily to provide heat and electricity to non-commercial premises.
From 6pm on 15 March 2023.
The removal of restrictions on the use of rebated fuel will be welcomed by those able to take advantage, based on the purpose and use of machinery.
