Measure
Following a review, the government will maintain the difference between road fuel gas and diesel duty rates until 2032.
Manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers, households and business consumers of fuel products subject to road fuel gases.
The measure maintains the difference.
The measure is welcomed as it maintains the consistency for those who manufacture and deal with road fuel gases. The duty rates for products such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and road fuel natural gases such as biogas will remain at £0.2888/kg and £0.2257/kg respectively.
This will ensure no additional excise duty payments are to be paid on vehicles using such fuels.
